My Indeed redesign was initially inspired by my own experience of searching for internships/full-time jobs, where I came upon a few challenges that I was eager to problem-solve through research and design. To narrow down my solutions, I focused on the users' needs more than the company needs when making design decisions.

When interviewing people of all ages about their job search methods, there was a common trend in their responses; Indeed job listings do not always provide the most relevant jobs to the job seeker. The job search process is already a stressful process, how can we make people feel more confident during their job search experience?

Through a survey, I asked people between the ages of 16-47 to learn about their job search experiences and what could be improved. While the majority of the survey replies were important, I decided to focus on the first three of these challenges in depth.

I explored three different moodboards and styleboards before deciding on the visual direction. I wanted to maintain some of indeed's branding which is why I chose the blue, nonetheless, I wanted the blue to play a louder role in the moodboard to create a confident UI feel.

The homepage is an important representation of the company. I designed an illustration that communicates what Indeed represents; the connection between job seekers and companies.

The job description card contains a matching percentage to the skills and qualifications required/recommended by the job. This information is given when the job seeker uploads their resume which automates into their profile. Currently, Indeed does not have a profile page. This will help job seekers find more relevant jobs, while also being able to narrow down their needs through filters.
